The
WOW Film Festival National Tour will go to over
18 destinations Australia wide 2009. New WOW Tour destinations
will be advertised as information comes to hand.
The WOW National Tour offers eight curated
screen programs including the finalists of the WOW Short
Film Competition to our Tour partners.
Each venue selects its own programs.
Adelaide was the first destination for the WOW
Film Festival Tour for 2009.
The Media Resource Centre, as WOW Tour
partner, presented a screening of WOW Australian Shorts
and the documentary "Shooting Women"
on 8th February at the Mercury Cinema.
The WOW National Tour will be travelling
to destinations around Australia in capital cities and
regional centres.
In March the WOW tour screened to celebrate
International Women's Day at four NSW destinations
- NSW Parliament House on 9th March, Lake Macquarie Performing
Arts Centre on 6th March and at both Bandbox Theatre,
Kempsey and the Empire Cinema, Bowral on 8th March.
Other destinations to which the WOW National Tour
has and will travel to in 2009 include Kyogle NSW at the
end of March, Albany WA on 22nd March and 29th March,
Grafton NSW on 8th May, Yamba NSW on Wednesday 12th May, Friday 14th May, Saturday 15th May 2010 and Darwin on 16th May, Nambucca NSW 30th May, Melbourne
Saturday 6th & 20th June, Roper Gulf Region throughout
June, plus Dubbo NSW, Mena Creek Qld 30th May, Hobart
6th – 9th August, Casula Western Sydney 19th September,
Broken Hill 4th October and more.
In addition the WOW Tour will screen in Townsville presented
by Dance North Friday 6th November and Saturday 7th November.
The WOW Tour is featuring at the Lady
Bug Film Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden from 9th –
11th October 2009.
